When did the Pandas become endangered?

I am doing a report for school but I have not been able to find any information about the year Pandas were identified as endangered.

When did the Pandas become endangered?anti virus

Panda's have been declining since before the population boom in 1949 and have been the focus of conservation as far back as 1958 within China although all conservation work with Panda's was stopped during the Cultural Revolution (1966-69 or arguably 76). Pandas were not declared as endagered however until much later.

There are actually two dates when the Panda was added to the Endangered List as there are two Endangered Lists. One for America and one for the rest of the world.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service added the Giant Panda to their Endangered List in 1984. The IUCN (The World Conservation Union) had Panda's on their Red List in both 1986 and 1988 but classed as ''Rare'' and not ''Endangered''. The ICUN changed the Pandas classification to ''Endangered'' in 1990.

When did the Pandas become endangered?auto protect

just when people realised how damn tasty they are
At about the same time as they became dangerously low in numbers.
Pandas are endagered because of poochers.

Best thing you should get is DVD called ''Amazing Panda Adventure'' and ''China- Adventure of Panda''.

This movies will help you to under why they're endagered.

It's due to farming, clear cutting bamboo forests being destroy.
there is no specific date as it is a gradual process, with the loss of habitat because of expanding settlements and farming

As well as hunting ,for food ,sport, skins ,and zoos.

the date is still now,

They must have started to decline after the first or second quarter of the last century.

Almost all attacks on Nature in a big way around the world was about then.
