As the others said it is illegal to own a panda and that they all belong to the Chineese nation.However,you could look online to see what the possibilities are of sponsoring one in a panda sheme,rescue in China. that way you would be helping pandas and would get regular updates and photos of ''your'' panda

I don't think it'd be legal. I can agree with you though, there are programs in china and in certain zoos where you can hold them.
Owning pandas is illegal, thank God. To top it off, they're endangered...hardly the kind of pet to be trusted with the general public who think it would be ''cool'' to have one. Even zoos find it hard to get their hands on them. They are notoriously difficult (if not impossible 99.9% of the time) to breed in captivity.

I don't think its possible to own one legally. Even the ones in US zoos are owned by the nation of China and are here ''on loan''. Chine retains ownership of all panda cubs born on foreign soil too - as far as I know.
