I think that they can see OK in the dark, but I believe they prefer to be awake during the day. They do eat bamboo and small rodents, scientists said that were more related to the raccoon rather than the bear, they've now decided that panda bears, are in fact bears!

some sites online i found said that they are, other sites said that although they have the vertical eye slits like many nocturnal animals, no they arent-- its debatable, i guess.

Actually Pandas started out in various colors, similar to the rainbow and then the snob effect that so often takes over a population came into being. One Panda giant ( or was it a Giant Panda) decided it was far more sophisticated to be totally black and white with no garish colors allowed.The Pandas of color were enslaved and not allowed to reproduce. Only the Pandas with the rich black and white coats were allowed to breed. Thus, over time the Panda population was dominated by the snobby Black and White Pandas and since then the gene which gave the other Pandas their lovely bright colorful shades has disappeared. Since this time of discrimination against color among Pandas the inbreeding has produced a very sensitive animal which has difficulty breeding at all. which is why the Panda population is in jeopardy.

In the wild, most animals see in black and white. It helps them to blend in. That is just a guess. I really have no idea. Why do some tigers have orange?

No, I think they see themselves as fat and kind of frumpy. Most Panda's have seen footage smuggled in to China (not on Yahoo) of Polar Bears and realize that Polar Bears are way cuter. So in a nut shell - No, they don't! But Polar Bears know how cute they are, just ask them, they will go on and on about it.

I'm trying to install Panda Internet Security Suite 2007 on my BF's computer. (WIN 98...can you believe it?!) He used the ''Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs'' to remove AVG 7.1. Supposedly, this worked, but when he tried to install Panda, it still detected the AVG, and asked for it to be removed. I've gone into the folders on 'C' individually, found a few more AVG files, and have deleted them. When I do a search, using both ''avg'' and ''grisoft'' (the software company), nothing else is found on the hard drive....yet Panda still won't install, claiming that AVG is still in conflict. The AVG website offers no help. Panda either. HELP!!! Any suggestions?

It sounds like your registry needs to be edited and AVG needs to be removed from there. Try this free online computer repair site and let them remote into your system and completely remove AVG for you if you wish, but I would stick with the AVG because in my opinion, it's better than Panda but that is up to you.

buy Endangered Species, it comes with pandas and other animals.. or you could look at your guests and see what they like best about the zoo, what the want from the zoo, etc, and then improve the zoo based on what the most guests want..
